My mind boggles at times when I attempt to understand the enemy. The best way to summarise the problem is in a statement made by one autistic activist concerning Autism Speaks For Normie Assholes. They refuse to even meet us halfway. In fact, they go so far to insist their way or the highway that this alone can be taken as evidence of the lack of merit in their position.

Let us get this out of the way first: compared to when it started, I am adding things to this journal at a very slow pace, and I do not anticipate that changing any time soon. Part of the reason has to do with simple loss of morale. Some of it has to do with feelings of exclusion from the mainstream “autistic community”. But much of it has to do with a simple feeling of it not being worth the effort.

You can tell a lot about a person by how they view themselves, the people they are a part of, or a particular outside group. This is an extension of “show me your friends and I will show you who you are”. It is about how you talk to your friends.
