I have to admit, I depend on quite a lot of things. Some of which, such as the ability to feel safe in my own skin, I ought to be able to take for granted. And the fact that I cannot take that one for granted, well, certain people out there ought to take a good, hard look at themselves about that one. Continue Reading

This is where things about electronics, entertainment gear, or tools of the trades go.
Two days ago whilst waiting to see the new X-Men film, I did something I had been considering for a long time. I took the option of prematurely ending the contract that kept me using an iPhone and started a new contract based on a new ‘phone. Continue Reading
MoneyMas is a lot of things to a lot of people. To me, it is another day of isolation, marginalisation, and annoyance. But from the things that make it so, sometimes comes a boon. This year, it was a quick passing of money from my mother to my account. For a moment, I did consider sending it back and telling her I did not want it. But that would be a lot more aggravation and effort than it was worth, so I did a lot of pondering about the best thing to do with this cash. Continue Reading
(Note: This article was written before the move to Sydney, and long before the holiday that I prefer to call MoneyMas. Circumstances have changed somewhat since I wrote it, but apart from a closing note, I will write more on the subject in a later article.)
I love Blu-ray Disc (aww really, I hear you cry). It is not just because the media offers the best home cinema experience money can buy, or that it makes the “cinema” part of home cinema far more literal. (There is a reason that cinemas do not project in an interlaced format, morons.) And it is not even because it is the first home cinema medium where the price seems fair relative to what I get in exchange. No, the reason I love it so is because when I watch older films that I only ever saw on VHS on Blu-ray Disc, I often see those older films in a completely different light. One that DVD cannot hold a candle to. Continue Reading
Before we begin, I should clear something up. Like a lot of autistic lads around my age, I had an interest in some things until I dug deep enough or saw them change enough to recoil in horror. Information techology, or rather the way it is implemented today, is one of those things. I could go on for a while about how it came to be this way, but it is not really all that relevant here. The reason I mention it is because I want you to understand where I am coming from when I talk about the new iPhone and certain details thereof. Continue Reading
I have a large caché of articles to go through this month, mostly because my flow from brain to “web” was interrupted. Unfortunately, moving interstate without a properly-researched plan can do this. I will go over the specifics of what happened upon arrival in Sydney at another point. Suffice to say for now that this is a sort of introduction to the future of this journal. Continue Reading
Most of the time, when I go to the local shops and look at goods, it lifts my spirits somewhat. For most of the preceding year, whilst sitting around the house, I have been feeling… how can I put it? Out of sorts? Like my baby has died? Like I am stuck in a society that would rather throw me away than expend any effort to help me be what I can be? Like I have a masculine parental entity whom I have recently determined is determined to break my spirit? Continue Reading
