Many times during the past year or two, I have read the words “rape culture” online. I have understood this phrase to mean tolerance, condoning, or even encouragement of the act of rape. If I am mistaken, then please feel free to correct me in the comments. The reason I mention this is because reading Dylan Farrow‘s post about her experiences got me to thinking about another disgraceful culture we live in. Continue Reading

Alright. This is the third time I have attempted to write this little document. I seem to be getting no further than declaring that the medicine I have been prescribed in an effort to prevent me from “losing my shit” so often, to use one euphemism is, honestly, not working. Continue Reading
Sigh‘s most recent album at this time, In Somniphobia, was awarded the number one album cover art by Revolver Magazine. The article, much of which I read with a dismissive attitude because of the attitude communicated in the author’s words, can be found here. Continue Reading
In a statement that both surprises me and fails to surprise me at all, I have to confess to finding a certain amount of enjoyment in the music of one G.G. Allin. G.G. had a simple mission statement during his musical career. That is, he wanted to reclaim “rock and roll” from the corporate interests that had essentially taken it over. At least, that was the theory. What he ended up doing in practice was running about the stage and audience naked, shitting on himself, flinging shit at the audience, and trading punches with said audience. Continue Reading

Or turn into a steaming pile of droppings. End of world predictions tend to vary in terms of severity. In fact, during the dizzying heights of the Reagan administration, predictions that the world was going to end tomorrow came so thick and fast that people almost stopped paying them any mind. This morning, after I woke up from a prematurely-started sleep and realised that I was going to have yet another major disruption in sleep pattern, I did my usual computer routine. I hopped onto World Of Warcraft for the nth time, did some tasks oriented around my characters’ skills, and then looked at the news that Fudgebook had to offer. One place that I used to be subscribed to but left because of the whole unwillingness that much of the autistic community has to accept that not everyone shits smiles posted an image that I thought was working talking about. You will see it after the jump. Continue Reading
If there is a surefire way to make me think you are an idiot, right to the point where I want to throw my own dung at you, telling me that there is no such thing as overpopulation would be top of the list. Compounding that with badly-supported claims or pseudoscience is just icing on the cake so far as I am concerned. But in a conversation on a friend’s Fudgebook page, one person really went above and beyond the call. Continue Reading
