Why I refer to _myself_ as autistic, part thirty million.

I will be upfront about this. I like it when people write things that I agree with. I disagree with a lot of this article from one of the Dulocks. There are reasons for this. Anyone who expects me to agree that the “voices of parents are important” is kidding themselves. A parent’s voice is never important until it agrees with the objectives of the autistic. And even then, it is but a whisper in a flood of genuinely evil voices at present.

(Note: The following was written literally months ago, and then just forgotten about. This is probably reflected in the fact that it contains more vitriol towards people who think living in “small towns” somehow automatically makes them virtuous or exemplary. They say you cannot go forward if you do not give what you are leaving behind proper consideration. So history might learn a lesson or two from what is in here.)

Put simply, my (condition) is worsening.

I think that we can all agree that the Human dental system is one of the many things that the species needs to evolve out. Fear not, I will not spend too much time in this article talking about dentistry. It is only important to set up what I wish to talk about in the rest of this writing.

More musings about hypoglycaemia.

I have a confession to make. I used to try to reduce my blood sugar as much as I possibly could before going to sleep in order to make it vaguely possible for me to even sleep. Ever sat up for hours at night with a feeling like your mouth is filled with vomit and the skin around your lips has become encrusted shit? That is basically the feeling I get when I lie in bed at night with a blood sugar even slightly to the North of 10.0 mmol/l.

Keeping the good to oneself. Sharing it with others. The conflict betwixt.

Readers of this publication and all of the things linked to or referenced therein will have noticed a bit of a lean towards unhappy, dark, even scary news. Or outright condemnations of some despicable behaviour, in some major cases. I am sure that it makes the world that I inhabit seem very scary, rotten, or outright evil. And on rare occasions, one will get the sort of person who does not know any better asking why no good news is forthcoming, or why references to good elements in the world the author inhabits are forthcoming.

Language failure: when peoples’ responses to what you are saying make you lose the will to live…

Given that my male parental unit still lives, and that trips to commercial areas of Queensland have not resulted in me either murdering people or begging others to murder me, I like to think of myself as a rather patient person. When you pick your jaw up off the floor, try to remember that just as with everything else that comes out of my mouth, there is a reason I said that.

So I consider “Autistic Australian” to be a contradiction in terms. Let us take a look at why.

So on occasions prior to this writing, I have spoken of the world of difference between being autistic, and having skin cancer or diabetes. Or both, if you happen to be in the situation I am in. Maybe the higher spirits of Queensland were watching me when I posted that, because yesterday morning, I got a very unpleasant surprise concerning the skin cancer that is in my face.
