I hate teachers.

I hate teachers, schools, and pretty much everything in the formal education system that the Western world has today. This is for a reason.

Neurotypical slurs.

Read this article. Three paragraphs in, the author slurs autistic people twice in just one sentence. This sentence being

He suffered a severe form of autism and was unable to communicate verbally.

But really, you can cut this down to 

He suffered a severe form of autism

And it is two slurs in just seven words. Now, before the jump, I am going to warn in advance. I have not one fukking thing to say about Avonte Oquendo. I am sure his family is suffering terribly, but this is completely irrelevant to what I have to say.

It stopped making sense to me.

When I was younger, I was somehow, in a subtle way, encouraged to think that my life would continue along a path that was really more destiny than direction. That I would just live the same kind of ordinary, everyday life that I had observed people like my parental units living, and on and on it went.

I do not remember school ever being THAT bad.

(Note: Again, this is an article that was written a while back, during the Internet exclusion. Its subject is the rape of several teenaged boys at Maine West High School and its implications for society as a whole. Please pass it over if this kind of subject might upset you.)

Words. Your promises are just words. And your words are empty.

First of all, I want to apologise to the British ultra-slow doom metal band Esoteric for using one of their best lyrical lines as a title line. The song that this quote is from is the opener on their first album, Epistemological Despondency. The song is more simply titled Bereft, and is basically themed around the collective failure of the Human species to live up to its own promises.
